Running Philosophy

Running should be there to enrich your life, whether you are a competitive athlete or run as an end in itself. My approach is to coach in waves towards a peak or a series of peaks.

A peak could be a  race e.g. marathon / 10k / trail race. A series of peaks could be through the cross country season to a championship.

If running is an end in itself the wave approach of highs and lows is still the way to go.

Running should dovetail with the stresses and strains of your life, and the wave approach that I advocate will improve your fitness and help to minimize the potential for injury.

Having your own schedules will accommodate this.
